Come at 6:45 to enjoy a pre-concert conversation with maestro Dewey Ehling.
The evening will feature solos by four members of the orchestra: Barbara McColgan Pastore on the harp, Otto Smith on the Concertina, Anne Krabill on the oboe, and Steve Ricketts on the recorder.
The program will also include Georges Bizet's stirring L'Arlesienne Suite. Of course the evening would not be complete without the traditional sing-along Christmas carols, followed by White Christmas.
The Port Townsend Community Orchestra was formed in 1987. Orchestra members are your friends, neighbors, and co-workers--the people you see and work with every day in your community. They are also musicians who volunteer their time to play together each week, and their goal is to give you beautiful music to enjoy.
Port Townsend Community Orchestra offers four concerts a year: in October, December, February and April. There is no admission fee so that everyone, children included, can attend. The orchestra is supported by contributions from its patrons and from local businesses. Donations are also welcome at the door.
